Great news for fans of The League (myself included). FX has announced the series will be renewed for a 13-episode fourth season, calling it one of the channel’s “most successful comedy series both creatively and from a ratings standpoint.” What took them so long is anyone’s guess, especially since it averages 1.5 million viewers from adults 18-49 while battling network shows on Thursday nights. The series, which stars Mark Duplass and Nick Kroll, focuses on a fantasy football league and the lives of their members. Production for the new season will begin next summer and return next fall alongside the NFL season.
