Matt Damon was originally supposed to direct an untitled film starring himself and John Krasinski. But after he dropped out due to time constraints, the director who gave him his Hollywood breakthrough start will take over the film. Good Will Hunting‘s Gus Van Sant has committed to taking the director’s chair, according to Deadline. The script which was written by Damon himself (along with Dave Eggers) will be about two rival corporate executives within a small town. The film is on pace to start shooting in early April.
